Started with Fixall plaster of Paris over pink Foamular, both from Home Depot.
Made casts of rocks by pouring it into holes poked into the dirt of my backyard, but first lining the hole with plastic grocery bag material.
Scratched drums out of 1/2" dowel proved to be out of scale. See smaller drums below.
Shrubs made from blossoms using JTT modeling products, ground litter from Home Depot’s soil amendment for vegetables, first sifted through an old window screen.

Hoped to contrast the beauty of autumn and an old road slowly being reclaimed by nature, with man-made ugliness in rusty forgotten things, which can in itself also be captivating, but in a strange kind of way.
I’m likin’ it! I love going for a walk in the woods and finding those old signs of human occupancy which are slowly being overtaken by Mother Nature. It’s kind of haunting and you wonder what sort of stories are behind it. I think this looks great.
