I’m going to be in Toronto for a few days later this week. In addition to visiting some of the city’s good hobby shops I thought it would be an opportunity to meet and or chat with anyone in the area currently working on the 1:32 Academy F/A-18 “C” Hornet kit.
If you are, then let me know and we could discuss construction issues with the kit and toss ideas back and forth.
Also, any modelers in the TO area have any suggestions on what hobby shops I MUST visit when I’m in town???

Aviation World is a must .It’s listed in the magazines for an address.I’d also recomend you stop in at Collector Lane on Markham Rd just south of hwy 401.They are about to move so they’re having a big sale.That’s just a couple of my top choices.

Aviation World in Toronto is located on Carlingview Drive, just east of Pearson International. It’s pretty much right across the street from the airport and when you’re done throwing massive amounts of cash away inside, you can sit outside in the parking lot and watch the planes come in almost over your head.

I think they have the exact location a bit off, but that’s pretty much it. 'Tis just south of where they peg it I believe. There’s a… ‘gentlemen’s club’… behind AvWorld and you can’t miss the sign… [;)]

Just got back from Toronto and an excellent trip.
Have to say that Aviation World is an EXCELLENT shop and easily one of the best spots for modelers in the country.
I picked up the new 1:48 scale Hasegawa F/A-18"F" Super Hornet.
Aviation World was the only spot in Canada that had the kit.
Other hobby shops said theirs were on order but not in yet.
I also picked up the resin Cutting Edge SJU-17 A NACES ejection seat for my Academy Hornet project.
