Really though…These are the originals…Hot Rods from the 50’s, not original…40 Merc Lead Sleds…Don’t get me wrong…I love original cars…they just aren’t for me…
Cars…Five just isn’t enough…lol…but Muscle Cars…those five would have to be some of my favorites…
1971 Mustang Mach 1 Boss 429
1971 Buick GSX Stage 1
1975 Pontiac Trans Am SD455
1969 Chev Camaro ZL-1 C.O.P.O.
1969 Plymouth Hemi Road Runner
I had a 72 Mach 1 with a 351 Cobra Jet and a 4-speed. I got about 9 miles to the gallon…on a good day!!! The crazy thing is, I’d buy another one in a heartbeat.
Ah, the good old days when I actually owned 2 of these cars.
1969 Mustang Mach I w/428 cobra jet- owned
1969 Charger w/426 Hemi
1964 GTO w/389 & tri-power
1966 Chevelle 396, 360hp- owned
1963 Galaxie 500 w/428, the odd ball car but very quick for a full sized car
1967 shelby GT 500 /70 429 Mustang Boss/ 1969 dodge charger / Pontiac GTO/ 1969 Chevy camaro SS
I would also add a 94 5.0 mustang but only five! Im a mustang guy
I own a 65 Olds 442 conv and its NOT in the top 5, but :
1970 Chevelle LS-6
1970 Buick GSX
1965 Shelby AC Cobra
1969 Hemi Road Runner
1965 Plymouth Fury w/Max wedge 426
this should start a few discussions with motor heads
Hey!
I have no arguments with the cars chosen, thus far, but nobody’s mentioned the 1970 Duster 340!!! What a gem!
Granted, it’s the only musclecar I’ve evered owned, but…
Ferrarie don’t count, it’s a sports car. Like Lee said, American iron, and lots of horses with a body that has ATTITUDE.
J-Hulk that would be Plum Crazy Purple
Another rare one was the Mustang Mach 1 351CID with magnesium alloy hemi heads, saw an articlr in Car Craft mag. about that one!
