toomanyslurpees is finally going to try posting some photos

There we’ll see if that works, Pictures aren’t too great, I have an old SLR camera but I finally tried one of those photo CDs, the first is the Tamiya corsair in 1:48, then the Classic Airframes Fokker D.XXI. the rest are of the Lancaster I’ve been working on, I’m making a diorama with it being bombed up and fueled so I’ve been doing more extra detailing than I normally do, I’ve used the flightpath photo etch set, and scratch building. it’s an expensive set and I’m normally not a fan of photoetch but for this kit it’s freakin’ great, I love the loop antenna, I couldn’t believe I actually got it together on the first shot. I don’t own an airbrush, I hoped these pictures would be proof you can’t have to own an airbrush but these pictures aren’t good enough to proove. Thanks for viewing.

Oh man. Slurpees are the greatest thing.

Great builds by the way.

Slurpee, I think the pics are just fine! You sure do have that detail painting down, very impressive!! Keep us posted on the lancaster build, that’s a fascinating aircraft!

Nice looking models, that Lancaster is really coming along. By the way, the reason I use an airbrush is that I know I don’t have much in the way of skill when it comes to brushing on paint. More power to you!

I really like the painted bezels on the IP, looks fantastic! [bow]

That is some fantastic work for not having an airbrush toomanyslurpees. Excelent detail work on that interior to. You must have some young and steady hands to do such nice work. I’m envious of you. Keep rolling out that nice work.

I stand in awe of your detailing abilities, too manyslurpees! [bow] If drinking those things gives you “super powers” like this, I’m off to 7-11 right now! [#toast] This is magnificent work; I especially love the i.p. details! Thanks for posting and keep the pics coming!

I thought I’ld share a picture that my camera does better, I just got back from my first trip to the frozen north, this is from Iqaluit.

Thanks for the kind words, and yes, a tip, the slurpee does calm ones nerves and thus steadys one’s hand… actually I think I loose brain cells painting the fine stuff, I can’t paint it and breathe at the same time. I’ll try to give some progress shots when I make some.

1st: Photos are excellent. Good focus and light. I would only suggest possibly a solid background for future photos of your completed work. Maybe a large piece of cardboard?

2nd: Your detail is simply incredible. Quite impressive. Keep up the great work!

got to admit you do better at painting those small details than I do. That’s some excellent work. very crisp very clean.
