Never! I would eat it year 'round if I was really into sweets.
You Americans have funny names for things. So ok I’ll bite. What the heck is candy corn?
Dodgy
Yes they are good but you have to keep them in moderation!
Heh…I don’t think anybody knows the answer to that one.
Candy corn is a confection that is shaped (somewhat) like a full kernel of corn. It is normally colored white and yellow and orange, but may also be yellow, orange and brown. Candy corn is most often associated with our autumn / harvest / Thanksgiving season.
That said Dodgy . . . don’t make me start listing all of the wacky terms you folks ‘down under’ use, I’ll be here for days . . . !!!
Hey,Dodgy:
The term “Candy Corn” is a misleading term. The stuff is supposed to resemble imdividual Kernels of Corn Off the cob. Na ah! More like a marketers idea of a candy ( Crysralized Sugar) that doesn’t even really resemble the real thing .It is like a firm Pure sugar novelty for Halloween( All Halloweds Eve}NOT!!
The Mexican’s have it right in the Dias De La Morte (Day of the Dead)
Any time you can find some is the right time. As long as my doctor doesn’t find out.
If I wasn’t under doctors orders to keep sugar input low, I would eat that stuff every day all year round. I absolutely love it.[:(]

Stay Safe.
Candy Korn and Jelly Beans… pure sugar for my addicition.
Oh Fudgpuppies!!
You would have to mention Beens! I used to live down the road from "Jelly Belly " In northern California at the Time “Ronnie” had them sent to 1600 Pennslyvania Avenue!. I don’t think they checked their cameras often. Every Saturday I would make the Samples tour and hit their Shop afterwards. Lotsa Lollies fer da sugar High!
I have no need to nor any desire to eat that stuff
[+o(]
I would never waste calories on that stuff

There’s a rumor that production of candy corn actually stopped in 1898, and the same batches have been circulating ever since then…while slowly running out. [proplr]
Well, that’s funny. What you folks call candy, we call lollies, so c’mon HooYa, the challenge is on!!!
Dodgy
No that is a lifesaver lolipop!
It’s candy shaped like little kernels of corn (maize). It’s popular here in the US, especially around Halloween, and a little more generally, in the rest of autumn, too. Basically little pieces of sugar and corn syrup, shaped into corn kernels.
Candy corn falls into the category of Nana candy. That’s candy that only your grandmother would buy and keep in the house. Ribbon candy, those circus peanuts, black licorice pieces, things like that.
Fair dinkum, Dodgy? well okay; how about daks? or furphy? or goon? or finishing any word with ‘y’ or ‘ie’ . . . or, we could take your chooks to maccas for a treat.
There’s a few starters for you Cobber!!
(this thread could get fun, folks, so stay tuned, you might learn something!!!)
Methinks you are from the land down under;!
