Regulars and New Guys: Is it me or is there a HUGE amount of new names here since the format switch?! I just scrolled through the new posts and I don’t recognize at least half of the names!
Soooo…either I haven’t been around much…which is somewhat true…OR there is a lot of newbies here.
Either way, [snWcm]. Check in, say hi…tell us about yourself, modeling preferences, whatever…
Hmmm…I haven’t been able to check in recently(too much architecture work) but I have noticed quite a bit of new names here and there. Hopefully these new members will become forum regulars versus one-time posters who show up and leave after a few weeks. Either way [snWcm] to all the new FSM members out there.
It would seem that we have a fair number of new members. [snWcm] to you all. Always nice to have new folks onboard and still always good to see our hardcore regulars. [:D]
I only started modelling a few months back and joined the FSM Forum in June/July 2008.
There are a lot of new names on here. When I told people I was starting to take an interest in WWII armour modelling and my other interest (fullbore rifle shooting) was going to take a back seat as it was getting to expensive reloading ammo they told me I was 20 years too young to start modelling and basically needed to be an old git to be a modeller (I’m 30 btw)! [8-)]
Having joined the forums and met a LOT of modellers at shows and through MAFVA I can see they were very wrong indeed! I’ve met modellers aged 5 through 85!
I haven’t been building long enough to reminice on the ‘old days’ but there has definately been a lot more newcomers to the forums lately showing off their first ever builds!
Keep them coming-it’s a perfect hobby! You can do it whilst watching TV, eating or drinking coffee etc, in the warm and relaxed! Beats all my other interests!
I hate to say it, but it might be a reflection of the Unemployment situation? Lots more guys outta work with otsa time on their hands?
I’ve been here, Steve, just busier-then-hell, and still modeling, but over in “Autos” lately building some MOPARS. Still trying to master those &%$&%@'ed glossy finishes! lol!
(voice of Cap’n Kirk) “Gloss…the final frontier…” lol! [:D]
