Tizona

Hello everyone!

This is my first sci-fi kit painting work. An Spanish “Tizona” assault vehicle situated somewhere in a future mid-east war.

Tizona is the name of a sword mytical in Spain, as it belonged to “El Cid Campeador”. Cid Campeador was an Spanish medieval hero (may be you remember a film form Charlton Heston about this hero) during muslim occupation between 711 and 1492 (DC)

The kit was completely built by Oscar Pinela, a really Master with Scratchbuilding kits. Probably, for my taste, one of the best in the world.

Here, some pics of the work. My mission … painting it! A complete challenge for someone who only has painted military vehicles!!

Thanks for looking!

Any opinion or suggestion as usually, will be highly apreciated!

I;ll be keeping an eye on this one.

Really like the look . Any chance of some closeups of the machine.Cant wait to see how you paint this up

wow lots of work going into a great looking model. well done.

what colour are you thinking About, if your thinking that far ahead yet !

and yes, it would be nice to see some close up shots.

looking forward to seeing more !

All the best,

Barry.

Oh, that is looking very cool so far! Subscribed.

Do you know where the standing figure comes from? He would look good w/ some of my 1/35 mechs.

Any updtates on this?

I LOVE walkers, and I am impressed by the ball and chain skirt armor. I hope to see more of that in future builds!

Painting sessions will start in February … stay tunned and many thanks for your interest!

I like this Merkava Style Walker…Any chance to see SBS pictures?

It’s really great…

I’m really looking forward to seeing this one finished!

¡Se ve muy bien! ¿Habrá una Colada también? [;)][:)]

Dear friends:

Many thanks for your patience … this weekend I´ll post the pictures with the first painting step.

Hope you like them.

And no … no Celada … just by now!

Well, here are the first pictures.

The owner of the kit, wants a no fantasy final look. So, I´ll make a “tank like” finish to this one (just with a little place to some “fantasy” effects)

Base color: CARC Tan

Any opinion or suggestion will be highly apreciated
