I model mostly Raf aircraft and I am considering buying some in “Sky” and “Medium Sea Gray”, does anyone have nay information as to the time frame when these colours were employed in the RAF?
All coments and suggestions welcome. Thanksin advance.

You will find this site invaluable if you model mainly RAF. It has saved my sanity on many occasions when trying to find the answer to a detail problem!

hope you find it as useful as I have
Thanks for the answer. I reviewed the material and the grey was apparently used prior to July 1942, at which time a diversion to several colours, including dull red and Sky occured.
I some how get the feeling that there has been some directives left out on that site. Both of the Camoflage & Markings (RAF Northern Europe 1936-45) which I have (the Spitfire & the Hurricane) publications would indicate the lower surfaces were painted as follows:
1938-1940 - Two variations - A. All port undersurfaces painted black, Starboard undersurfaces painted white, meeting on the center line of the A/C or B. Port wing black and starboard wing white with the belly surfaces forward and aft of the wing silver (underside of the nose, aft belly and aft horizontal surfaces). Spinners were black
06 June 1940 - All undersurfaces painted Sky (Sky type S), with Black spinner
27 Nov 1940 - Lower port wing painted black with rest of undersurfaces, spinner and fuselage band Sky.
22 April 1941 - All Sky undersurfaces, spinner and fuselage band.
15 Aug 1942 - All undersurfaces Medium Sea Gray overall w/Yellow strip on outer wing leading edges. Spinner and fuselage band remained Sky (although pictures in the same publications indicate in some cases the band was not retained)
Hope this helps a little.
