Wow that’s great is it the Academy kit?

Yes it is

Nice Anthony.I did the same with my academy & was equally pleased with results. So are you like me,wondering how to nicefully display it ? Also,do you or anyone else know of any other highly detailed interior kits ? Thank & Semper fi, Rudedog

rudedog,
I have a Tamiya 1:25 centurion Mk III, It came witha full interior, individual link tracks, and a bunch of other stuff. I just started the hull, so I cant say how good or bad the whole kit is, but the suspension works, and looks good too, fits ok, and seems to be going together ok. I have opted to scratch build alot of wireing, and stuff of the like for the interior because for the scale it seems to be missing a little. on a whole the kit looks good though

jim

Nicely done. Great work on the interior.

Regards, Rick

Just finished my Academy Tiger with interior also. Gone have to get some pics up soon. Your Tiger looks good to be hand paint.

Thanks,I’ll have to look into that especially sice it’s a scale large[ easier for detailing]. Semper fi, rudedog

very nice

Thanks all[:)]

The only other kits that I know of, that have interior is this one and the mid-production, sure there is more but thats all I know, someone else will be able to give you more.

Looks like you had a lot of fun with that one! Nice work on the interior. [:)]

One comment: I think you may have a problem with the drive sprockets. They are sitting too far out from the hull, and your tracks are on “backwards.” At first I thought you had transport tracks on, but upon closer inspection I can see that it’s a problem with the drive sprockets.

Oooops…upon even closer inspection, I’ve noticed that the road wheels are not in the correct sequence…which is certainly an easy mistake to make with all those crazy road wheels! The first set should be “outside,” and the very last set should be “inside.” My advice would be to look very closely at the instruction sheet and any reference photos (even the box art) to help you find the correct postion of the sprockets, road wheels, and tracks.
Here’s a quick pic of my old 1/25 Tamiya Tiger I, to help give you an idea of how the sprockets and wheels are arranged:

I’m not trying to be overly critical of your nice build, but I thought you’d like to know about those problems. I sure know I would! [:D]
It’s nothing that can’t be fixed, though. Just like everything in modelling! There’s always a solution!

Thanks for sharing your nice build! [:D]

[:D] your tiger looks great, nice work on the interior, and your cammo it just fine i do all mine by brush, great job[:D]

CRAP!! Thanks fixing it right now

O.k. I’ve fixed the tracks and road wheels ( DAM WHEELS!!! ) It’s funny because on the top of the box the first wheel was in ( The original way I had it ) but yet the box art has it out, Beats me, Thanks for letting me know!

Looking good Anthony. I brushed many a camo in my day so don’t feel too bad about it. The final results are all that matters. You might want to put a wash in your smoke dischargers to make them look used. Keep up the good work Anthony.

Well, I think you have done a good job on the kit and the camo, Anthony. I think J-hulk has already pointed out the problem with roadwheels.

Although it looks like it is fresh from the factory, it depends on you whether that’s how you like it to look or a bit more “used”. If you want it to be more worn, then I suggest some weathering.

Keep up the good works.

Nice work on the tiger and on the “repair” [;)]
Thats alot of work doing the interior and all.
If you decide to get an airbrush, you could just quick hit along the borders of the camo to give it a softer edge and it will look like a whole new paint job.

youve one a good job there, lots of details no way i could tackle an interior yet it takes me long enought to just build a tank heh, oh and dont feel bad about the wheels on my last tank i put the headlights on backwards lol

Wow, quick fix! It looks great!!
Glad to have been of assistance to you.

The wheels on the Tiger definitely are tricky. To make matters even more complicated, some vehicles do have the very first outer road wheel removed (supposedly to avoid fouling with mud or snow, I think), which would indeed make it look like the first set of wheels are “in”…maybe that’s the way it was shown in the pic on your box.

Anyway, quick, great fix! [:D]
