Your sure to get some people in on this one, especially with the generous time frame. I’d love to a Mid-Pro, but I’m tapped out for the time being. Good luck on this one, should produce some fine results.

Ted, if you are talking 1/35th, I bought the Early pro. and a bunch of AM stuff for it a month or so back. All I was looking for is an excuse to build it. I Count me in. As for group builds, I am pretty sure you can post to ask one of the editors to add the link to the group build page. Write up a post stating what it is all about, what the parameters are (basically- the kit, the scale, AM allowed, time frame) etc. Tigers are a good build, so I am betting you get a few guys in on this one.

It’s great idea Ted and I’d normally love to jump in but between the T-34, Anzio, 1/72 shermie and those two Tamiya 1/16s laughing at me I have a more-than-full-plate. Good luck, I’ll be watching.

I have the same kit, but you are really outdoing me as far as AM accessories. I have one huge package of exterior photo-etch and some figures. I am looking for an aluminum barrel, too. Maybe I need to get some more stuff![:D]

The Barrel comes with the Aber set. I have picked it up here and there and on ebay. I have always wanted to build this tank. And since we won’t start till after Christmas, maybe Santa will be good to us all!!!

Although, my wife asks what I want, I tell her and then I get clothes. Sucks to get old.

Ted

I usually get a couple models. I am digging in the heals and refuse to grow old

oooooooooo…wouldn’t these look nice atop the Wittman winter version???

Great kit and wish I had the time to join the build as I have it sitting on my shelf begging to be opened up. I planned on doing a 1/35th scale Dragon T-34/85 along with the 1/16th…but I may have to put that on hold and join with my bud Ted. Count me in…off to order aftermarket stuff from rjproducts.com !!!

Cheers

Mo

Oh…I forgot…those who are in, post what aftermarket products they have or intend on using.

Well, I’ll see what I am building at the time. I would love to have a 1/35 tiger in the collection. Put me as a maybe. It all really depends on what I get for Christmas. If I get an etchmate, then I will probably try PE, I might also try some am tracks and an interior and maybe resin zim and dont forget the AM barrel if I get a job for some money.
(im only 15 I dont have a job yet) If I join I will build the Late or mid version.

Jwest, very nice figures. I have yet to decide what figures I will use.

Moses, very cool, your aid in this build (or any) is priceless. Your name is added to the list.

Rebel, I suppose the mid or late version would be alright. I would like to stick to the same manufacturer. I really like the T34 build those guys are starting in a couple of days and have read alot of comments about the learning capabilities inherent to narrowing the scope of a group build. Comments are appreciated. It’s really cool that you’re 15 and into this the way you are. When I was your age, I had only one thing on my mind. Suppose that’s why it took 3 marraiges before I finally settled down[}:)].

Anyway, I think this is a good start. We can work on the parameters as we go along.

We have a lot of variety to build using Tamiya’s. I just built their mid-pro a couple months back and it is real nice. I am tossing the Tamiya late-pro version for the Bulge Build. I have to go downstairs and check the AM photoetch to see who made it. Will post it soon

I built that kit last Christmas, Its a great kit, I think I’m going to go with the whitewash version this time

My first one is at http//.www.gateswasher.com/armor

The AM photoetched set I am going to use is by Eduard. I will hopefully find an AM barrel, too. We need to post another thread with the title saying something to the effect of adding this to the Group Build sticky thread

Ted,

If I have the time, I would love to join this build. Only thing is, I don’t have a lot of spare time right now. I started the Tamiya Tiger I early production with Aber, and MK tracks, but have only gotten as far as assembling a few minor PE parts. This build would be great motivation to finish my Tiger, but the time frame would have to be pretty open ended.

Rats I just finished mine. Have fun I would join ya but I am tackling the T-34

If I can find it I’ll join.

raises fist … “Darn you armor guys”

I think this is going to be a pretty good build.

Jwest, I posted a new topic with that request. I hope I did it correctly. I also laid out a few parameters that are open to debate.

edog, There is a 6 month time frame on this. Plenty of time for adding all the extra bits we all love so much and even figures, and a diorama if desired. I will add you as a maybe.

woodbeck, you transition to the darkside is almost complete. I will put you down as a maybe as well. Hometown Hobbies has the kit (No affiliation). There’s even a couple on ebay.

Thanks for everyone’s interest.

Ddayomaha: I take it that you are in for sure? I will add you to the list as well.

Thanks,
