Tiger Gun

I´ve got a Tamiya mid production Tiger 1 item number 35194.3200. How wrong would I be if I mounted the ABER model 35L-28 KwK 36 L/56 barrel on it?

I think the Mid-production used the early gun. I dont know of any with the late gun.

The Tiger I used the KwK 36 L/56 gun. The only difference between the early/mid and the late production is the size of the muzzle brake. The late production has a smaller muzzle brake.

Thanks for the info to Kernop and TMN1. So I guess my muzzle brake is to large. So what about this, I am thinking about barrel erosion now. I was never a cannon cocker but I know that a tube can only fire so many rounds before it has to be replaced. So, if they replaced the tube on the tiger would it be with an entirely new gun. Or, would it retain the old muzzle brake?

The muzzle brakewas removeable. When the gun tube was replaced, if ever, the old muzzle brake would be installed. However I have seen photos of an early muzzle break on a late model tiger. That tells me that if a muzzle brake was damaged they replaced it with what they had on hand.

Thanks gjek, so I guess I´m not as wrong as I thought I was!
