Three More Finished Projects From My Productive Weekend

Hey everyone! These are two more kits I finished on my Weekend of Fun, as well as one gun I started on that weekend that just got finished today. I had so many projects I was working on that weekend that I’d forgotten to take pics of these two.

This first one is my British M2 Lee tank that I’d built more than 20 years ago. I had lost the decal sheet, and the remaining extra decals I had did not correspond to anything usede by this tank in the British Army at the time. So, I decided to ‘give’ it to my German Army and represent it as a captured vehicle:

This next one is the British Universal carrier I had built about the same time as the Lee above. Some of you may remember it from the unpainted kit I had posted in another Thread in response to a post by someone. I had found the decals and got them put on, then a little dullcoat and drybrushing to finish it off:

I placed an Exacto No. 11 Blade next to it as a size reference. You can see how small it is. Yet this little kit had 21 parts to it!

And finally, here is a pic of the British L 118 105mm Light Gun that I finished up today:

Well, that about completes everything so far, at least until I finish a couple more models.

Comments are welcome.

Looking good as alsways Duke, nice additions to your already volumous collection.

What kit is that Universal Carrier and is it still in production? I would be interested in build some of those.

like your other productive weekend posts, great job!

Oh how I would love a productive weekend to work on my models.

These kits are 1/72nd??

Nice builds!

Wow Duke that is a productive weekend, especially since it’s only friday now [:D][(-D] Great work. That 105mm might be tiny but it can make a BIG crater [:D]

Duke, what scale are these models? I really like the job you did on the British light gun. What kind of green did you use there?

looks like you had a productive weekend alright! I’m hoping for one myself…

[:D] great work,i like your lee.[:D]

Nice builts Duke. I like your M2 Lee too! The camo on that tanks is great!

Good stuff … and so petite! My old eyeballs need bottle ends to do the tiny scales anymore. Maybe that’s why I like big scale … that and fat fingers …

Got that factory working weekends Duke! Good to see you’re still cracking the whip! I always like viewing your ever growing collection, it’s just over whelming. Semper Fi, Mike

Wow, thanks guys, I’m glad to see your great comments!

razordws, the Universal Carrier is an old Airfix kit from waaaay back. I’m not sure,m but I believe it is out of production. You may be able to get one on E-bay if anyone is selling old Airfix kits. It comes with a 6 pdr gun as well, which I’ve already built. I have another one too; the gun is going to be used to kit-bash an M-3 Halftrack used by the Israelis.

Thank you jinithith2, Rockfall, I-beam, gdarwin, umustb, MBT70 and Mike!

Thanks jcheung5150. These are all 1/72 or 1/76 scale. The Universal Carrier is shown with a No. 11 Exacto blade next to it so you can see how small it is. I used Dark Green on the L 118 Light Gun, and dry brushed with Olive Drab.

I’m glad you guys all stopped in to see everything I’ve done.
