I was checking the forum rules and couldn’t find anything prohibiting posts like this, so if I’m out of line, please let me know. There is a seller - Fett finds - on Mercari.com who is selling off several 1/48 scale kits for $12 each. I just dropped $48 on a Tamiya, Trumpeter, Hobby Boss, and Pro Modeler kit. He has three remaining:

Nice. I was chatting with the guy and it looks like he bought a bunch of kits at one point and then just lost his desire to build them. I was more than happy to take some of them off his hands!
Hmmm… a mix of current, not so current and lots of vintage kits I haven’t seen in years. A couple of them are ridiculously priced. $220 for a Chevy Nova kit? Good luck with that one.
Some can be found in Hobby Lobby cheaper with a 40% coupon.
That kit was a turning point for me. After beating it into submission, no kit since has been a problem! I’d recommend the PE set for it, and at the very least, get the vac-form canopies(if they’re still available?). The kits “glass” is the worst I have ever seen.
