this might interesting news for some folks

saw on another website today that Trupeter is doing a 1/32 SU25, and somebody else is doing a T37 (can another A37 be far behind?). Also there are two new 1/48th SU25’s comming out from Eduard I think (one is the two seater)

What scale is the TWEET? Is it actually a T-37 or just another A-37 with a white paint job?

If memory serves me right, it’s in 1/32 scale (I’ll do a second check later). There were no photos, but the kit was listed as a T37. I’d love to see a 1/32 scale A37, and I will build at least one of the SU25’s if not both of them.

There’s also a glimor of hope in that somebody is releasing a 1/72 scale Staggerwing as well as a Traveler; could a 1/48th pair be far behind!

1/48 Su-25 would be a tasty treat for sure! [::DD0]

EDIT

Oops… I was thinking of an Su-22.

Love the Frogfoot! Might need to pick one of these up.

I must correct myself as the T37 was in fact a 1/32 scale T33. But can a P80 be far behind? There’s also a 1/32 scale DO 335 on the way as well as 1/32 scale SU 25’s and a few other SU’s. There also is a 1/48th scale SU25K comming out too. But alas there were no new Havocs or Hudsons comming out in 1/48th.

Hello everybody!

There was a 1/48 Su-25 from a Czechoslovakian company called OEZ Letohrad in the early nineties. I built one then, they had, for a short time, a few quality kits and they were also unusually cheap, that’s why I bought one. Anyhow they had single- and tandem-seat Su-25, a Su-7 (several variants) and a MiG-21 (might be wrong on this one). I suspect Eduard got a hold on the molds and is reissuing the kits. Would be a very good thing, as the original kit was very good for it’s time. So, go get’em, happy modelling

I just hope they keep the prices down to less then my house mortgage. Eduard just released the Airfix Lightining with a bunch of goodies but they want close to $100 for it.

A 1/32 scale F-80 has already been released. A load of AM parts for it has also been released. It is a very good kit though it does have a few things that are incorrect. On a scale of one to ten, I would give it a nine.

the 1/32 SU25 is from Trumpeter, and it seems to me that the 1/48th pair are from Eduard. Lets hope they did a better one than the Monogram version! I also think they’re doing an SU 24 with the swing wings, but maybe wrong as usual

I wonder if a guy could back date the P80 to a 1945 configuration?

gary

What was wrong with the Monogram A-37? Glue tube keep falling outta the box while you tried to shake & bake it?

That gun toting Tweet was one of the sweetest kit I ever built.

That 1/32 F-80 Bernie mentioned should be quite a model. $72 for the basic kit and $140 in aftermarket parts! WOW!

Hahaha!!! I almost fell outta my chair! [:D]

It is a great kit and I’ve got one stashed away somewhere.
