Thining tamiya putty

Having been unable to find mr surfacer locally I decided to experiment and added extra thin tamiya glue to tamiya basic putty, using only a little glue to a lot of putty I got a smooth consistancy and it works great for those small areas where the basic putty just makes a big mess.

Hmm, I was just thinking about doing this. I’m putting together some indy tracks for an M7 Priest, and every single link has an ejector pin mark on it. They’re just a bit too deep to sand out, so I’ve resigned myself to sanding each and every single one of them. I caught myself wondering this very morning if I could thin the stuff with thin cement, I’m glad to know that I can.

Tamiya actually sell thier putty in a thin version in a bottle. Try this link. www.tamiyausa.com/product/item.php?product-id=87075
