The Stand

A local Italian farmer is still able to conduct buisness as usual as a convoy of Allied vehicles pass through the village.

Nice little scene Russ, glad you could really make use of that fruit stand, well done!

Sasd,a really great job,very simple and nice.

The weathering great as usual.Good work

Pedro

Very nicely done!!!

I really like seeing these “non-combat” dioramas as a change of pace…

Great job!

Very, very nice work!!Thanks for sharing.

Russ;

Nice looking diorama as always. I am curious about the vehicle it looks as though you combined the rear cargo box of a 15 CWT with the Tamiya LRDG kit? Or did you just shorten the wheel base of the LRDG kit?

Cheers;

Gregory

Many thanks for the comments guys,yes it is a 15cwt box mated to a Chev LRDG front end,wanted to produce a lesser runabout type vehicle in a 4x2 that the Allies took overseas,would have perfered a Standard or a Morris Tilly here but ya gotta make do with what ya got. As for the rest of the convoy,the good folks are wavin and lookin at the vehicles that have already gone by.

Thanks again guys.

a very nice build as always!

Thanks Curtis,I enjoy doing Canadian vehicles in different situations, this one was more of a concentration on civillians reacting to the Allied vehicles,you know theyre there,theyve just gone past in the picture. Right now I`m working on a scene from a photo of a Canadian Stuart Recce tank in Italy negotiating a roadway in whats left of a small township.

Nice look Sasd

Thad

great job on beating up the truck

great looking dio sasd!!! awesome job as always, the only thing i wanna say is, that kid’s (the one by the business looking man) has insanely long arms! great work though!!

Russ;

I just realized (should say I hope I’m right) that the one figure is a converted German soldier that comes with one of the early releases for Italeri. The figure with hand on the hip and other down by his side. Great conversion of what really wasn’t a great figure to begin with. I prefer to use figures that aren’t all that well sculpted for conversion to civilians.

Cheers;

Gregory

Hi Greg, I think he was part of the partisan kit with a different arm. Hardest part was grinding down those 1/48 scale soldiers to represent kids.[:)]

very nice russ. it would be nice if DML or another company would come out with some civilians. i have some of the verlindens stuff. just a little to costly for one fig.

I can’t really keep showering you with praises, so I’ll just tell you that my current dio is something that was greatly inspired by the work I’ve seen you post here. Love to see this stuff from you.
