If you saw my last post, you know my whole shpeele. Flat Sea gray is the perfect color for a German tank commander’s black uniform.
In this pic you can see the day and night difference in the colors.

Here it is on the commander with a little blue added.

This picture was taken with my flash WAY too high, so it seems lighter, when, in fact, it looks like The other one. I call this one the man with no head.

And Finally, the last side, by side. Flat Sea Gray is on the left, Black on the right.

BTW, Would it be realistic to give his pants a camo pattern like on SS troops?
CORRECTION!!! THe color is Fl. Sea BLUE!
Well, it looks like I will be buying some Flat sea gray!
If he is going to be SS the ya you can give him those pants. Not sure about the whermacht.
It sounds very interesting… I’ll start painting my Academy 1/35 Tiger I Early’s figures… they’re bery bad figures, I’m going to purchase the Dragon Tiger Aces, but they (the Academy figs) are goos for a practice, don’t you think?..
the cammo pattern clothing was issued to the Wermacht aswell, it became pretty popular among the rank and file! You’d be alright painting them cammo
sweet, I wanted to try my hand at something more difficult and different.
Great result, thanks for the info.
I think a lot of tank figure painters are going to be buying sea blue. This is on to those things that are going to become nearly standard I suspect.
