I thought you all might share my interest in some of the pictures on these two linked pages. I happened upon the first link by accident while doing some research on the CH-53, and the second link is from the first page. There are some really nice internal reference pictures, even if they are of a stripped CH-47 that I thought may come in handy.
(Please note: I didn’t read, as much as skim, the pages. There is a LOT of info here, and I was short on time. I was more interested in the info that the pictures shared.)
Enjoy!

Hi Cableguy,
Very interesting info on #986, thanks! I’d heard it was in line to be restored for a display at Ft. Benning… guess that deal feel through? Doug Sprouse was contracted a while back to do a cosmetic restoration on the other surviving prototype, # 59-04984, at Ft. Eustis, but don’t know if he’s started it.
Maybe those fellows at Air-Mech-Strike Study Group will at least insure the airframe will remain intact… however, that may not be very long if they keep parking that Jeep inside, on that 43 year old rotting floor! yikes!!
Thanks again,
Take care,
Frank
