Hi everyone. I am new to modelling stuff and I don’t know anything about it. After I saw one of this model on display, I was hooked. They look so real despite the size. Where can I get books on this subject? What size of model should I strat of with? Any advice is appreciated.[:D]
Welcome to the forumand to the hobby ninjamaster. This is a great place to start out. Lots of people here willing to help you out with any questions. You could find books at a hobby shop on all sorts of stuff. FSM has some on different subjects. As far scale that would depend on what you want to build. 1/35 with armor is good and 1/24 or 1/25 with cars is pretty much standard. Some one else would have to say on the other subjects.
Welcome to the forum, and welcome to the hobby, ninjamaster. For learning the techniques of this hobby, I would suggest buying inexpensive kits that have been released recently. Older kits are sometimes less expensive also, but they may have fit problems that require experience in order to finish. Choose a subject, see what kits are available, then post questions on the forum to find out if it is an appropriate starter kit. The people here will be more than willing to assist you.
Have fun & enjoy the site !

Welcome to FSM ninjamaster.
Before making any recommendations, where does your interests lay? Do you like war materials, aircraft, ships, or cars? Once that is determined, then it would be a lot easier to recommend a kit.
Enjoy the forums !!!

New to modeling , wow must be exciting , I’d suggest like I’m sure many others have told you , to take a look around a hobby shop . See what they have to offer and if anything grabs your interest , most of us build all different kinds of models from anything from aircraft to monsters , it’s a very dirverse hobby and one that only gets better in time and the more you build the more fun you’ll have . Anyway welcome and don’t be affraid to ask questions .
Welcome to the forums, Ninjamaster! Tanks, huh? Well, 1/35 is the norm for tanks, so that would be a good scale to start in (although, i’ve seen people build tanks in the smaller 1/72 scale, to great effect!). I remember i built my first tank because it looked so much like a tank (an M-41 Walker Bulldog, i think)… I had know idea who used it and when, but that didn’t really matter to me then (come to think of it, i still don’t know who used it and when!). Not very knowledgeable about them tread thingies, so, i can’t help you there… Shermiefreak, Dwight, J-hulk and Chris can help you out there. Happy modeling and tell us what kit you bought! [:)]
Welcome, ninjamaster ! [#welcome]
Alright - more armor ! Get a Tamiya Panther.
