Nope… never seen it…[whstl]
Ahh, the memories! I think I’ve built every one of those kits at one time or another. Not as beautifully as those but I would like to try again especially the F-102 Delta Dagger. That was the first model kit I ever built. I did it when I was seven and my older brother helped me. I am more fone of the time with my brother that the plane but I would like to try again. Please do another round so I can join the “syndicate.” I may even encase the landing gear in buckets of cement.
monogram kicks ass. i’ve always liked their kits that i’ve done (to date: skyraider, me262, p51d, p51b and i’ve started the marauder and c47. does the ta-154 count? beautiful kit! i also restored a semi- built/derelict catalina.)
I travel 65 miles one way (“Uphill, in the snow”) from Bethlehem to Philly to go to mine, the Delaware Valley Scale Modelers. Don’t let the ride daunt you.
crikey, 65 miles to your nearest club? thats dedication- i used to cycle to my club and i’ve got a choice of two! without knowing where you live (rural in the u.s.a. is a bit different from rural here…), couldn’t you form your own club?
I was born unto this hobby on the wings of Monogram kits! There’s just something about seeing the good old Monogram logo that gives me a thrill up my leg and my mouth to run dry with adrenaline-fueled excitement!

Nope… Monogram never made a Ta 154… Only the Fw190A kit counts…
This build was rather specific though, as many Revell kits are actually former Monogram kits, but were released post merger, and therefore were not eligible… They (The Revell kits) had to be originally Monogram kits, and initially released prior to the Revell/Monogram Merger in 1986. Some with Monogram lables on the box were also D-Qd because they were molds from other companies (like the WWI fighters, which were originally Aurora), or were engineered and released after 1985… It was confusing for a bit at the beginning there…
Thanks for the kudos on the builds so far folks… These guys (and gal) really put out some great works so far… More to come as the build progresses!
Nicely done, guys…I figure the more of these MOJO’s ya’ll build the less of these kits will be floating around, so its a win-win for sure! [Y]
thats odd because the ta-154 on my shelf came from a box with the pro-modeller logo on which i thought made it a monogram kit…i’ll have a quick look at the unbuilt one thats on the shelf…
The ProModeler Ta 152 was a post-merger kit, most likely or a mold from another manufacturer… For the kit to be eligible, it had to have been enginneered and released by Monogram prior to 1986… The ProModeler line came out in the very late 80s and 90s…
Another one takes the field. P-38J’s 1/48 F-100:

Cockpit close-up:

Hey… That helmet and cheesy moustache look familiar…

yes, but what about the ta-154…?
Same-same… Monogram didn’t release a TA 154 prior to the merger… It was released in '99, the merger was in '86… The only ProModeler kits that were eligable for the MM Group Build were those that were originally Monogram kits prior to that year, like the B-24, B-17, and a very few others… Even some with Monogram labels (like the “Monogram Classic” P-51B) were DQ’d since they weren’t around as kits in the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s… The P-51B that came in the “Monogram Classic” box even had the original 1967 “Blue-Box” box-art, but the kit itself was an all-new Revell/Monogram P-51B from the 90’s, not the “Ding Hao!” from '67…
nicely hundred!!!
Hans the picture it’s a photoshop work or are really you?
No photo-shop… That’s really me, September,'99 at the CAF Airsho in Midland, TX… Right cockpit “Hero-Shot” of me in the P-82…
I’m the 2nd from left in this shot… That little guy in front of me was a B-29 tail-gunner in Korea, and got a MiG kill…

It’s just two Mustangs that fly in really tight formations, lol…
