The Mille G

This started out as a gift untill I ran into some trouble with Model Master Metalizer. This was my first attempt to use this stuff. Found out really fast that it does not like to be masked and that one should not try something new when planing on giving as a gift. I got so mad at it that I tried taking the stuff off and created one heck of a mess. I really wanted to do this scheme, so I just shot this whole thing with future and put on some trusty Alclad. I ended up with alot of flaws in the paint so I decided not to give as a gift, just wanted to finish it. So here it is, model number 3 almost done. Just wanted to share.

So, where’d you hide them? You know, the flaws…I didn’t see any…

Looks really good. I’m not sure why you decided not to give it as a gift. I know I’d be happy to receive the nice piece of work you’ve come up with, especially if it came from someone I know.

Anyways, I’m sure it will look great on anyone’s shelf, including your own. Neat little Mustinag there…thanks for sharing. I know how frustrating a botched paint job can be, but you sure “masked” it nicely!

Thanks for nice words there mucker, its underneath were the flaws are and some uptop. I would have to take a really good zoom pic to be able to see them with a pic. But trust me, they are there.

Well Done

You REALY did a Sweet Build

Bud

Nice 'Stang.

Love that pony, man! That’s my favorite paint scheme for 'stangs! I did one last year (mine was Miss Marylin II), but yours turned out much better…Bravo!

Nice looking Stang! Whoever was going to be the recepiant of the gift would need better eye sight than mine to spot the flaws!

Thanks for the kind words. I will finish putting on the decals this weekend and do some light weathering and post some final pics. Once again, thanks.

Good Job,

You want flaws? I’ll give you flaws. This is a 24 year old Monagram kit, with brand new flaws. One day I too will build a good looking kit[]

trying a better photo, see? even my posts are flawed.

She looks good from here

That’s a nice looking office there m8y, but there’s one little problem that’s been bugging me since i 1st saw the post, so after looking at the pic’s of the pit for twenty min’s, i finnaly figured it out!!!, the rudder pedal’s are on backward’s[:O]

So they are arent they[:I] Oh well, to late now. Just another flaw.[#oops]

Yeah i do it myself once in awhile, so don’t feel [:I] especially with some of the more fiddely teenytiny small part’s that in all likely hood no one will ever see unless they look inside with a magnifying glass to see if the fuel cut-off or the bomb/droptank toggle switch’s are in the correct position[(-D]
