I suddenly got aware that with the space I had determined to start with I couldn’t do much with the rest of the cliff. I needed more space. So, instead of adding yet another box I just glued two hard foam panels to the boxes and secured them with balsa wood sticks underneath. The frontal one was cut roughly at an irregular angle to show the continuation of the cliff and the ridges around the bunker. I then proceeded the same way as before with Shaper Sheet, a few rocks and clay to add the necessary angle side of the cliff. And as before, I also added plaster to it all.
Once fully dried I mixed some Celluclay in a large bowl to a consistent paste and applied it to form some mounds over part of the surface also limiting the rear end of the diorama.
Unfortunately, soon enough I realized that I made a big mistake. The Celluclay was too heavy and wet and parts of those mounds started to flatten out instead of remaining as I did shape them. I just decided to let them dry thoroughly before doing anything else and see the final result in order to proceed further.
