The Last Panther WIP P2

Ok team…moving right along …almost there…

Got the anti shrapnel panels fitted - made from extra PE and plasticard:

Waffen SS guy looking through the FG1250:

Added some welds with the soldering iron:

Added some accesories - tow cable made from ship rope:

I wanted to be subtle with the chipping and streaking, an automatic pencil works really well here. After a base coat of dunkelgelb and some dark shadowing with dark gray, I added an overall mist of deck tan to get the “bleached” effect here:

WOW. That’s amazing. I really like that you can get that close to your figure and it still looks good.

In the first picture, in close-up, your pencil scratches look overdone, but by the last picture it looks pretty good actually. I use a very soft artists pencil and just rub it on the edges, but I think I’m going to load up one of my mechanical pencils in the future.

Your effects are tastefully done all around. Not too much and not too little. Excellent presentation thus far. Really enjoyable to look at.

Wow! Crockett, it look very nice! I really like the shrapnel panels! Great touch!

Wow Crockett, what an amazing build with great detail. You nailed it Sir, and the figure looks great to. Really enjoyed watching you build her.

Nice looking build Crocket, you did a good job with those panels.

Thanks for your comments Mike…still have a ways to go…the great thing about the mechanical pencil is it gives one the ability to get into tight places…then, as I did, it is a simple matter to tone down the effect by swabbing with a Q tip. Gonna try to wrap this one up by this weekend.
