Just got back from SuperCon 2010, and I’m happy (and surprised) to say two of my three entries were winners. The TIE Interceptor took gold and the Road Warrior Interceptor got a silver. Both these placed the same at EagleQuest earlier this year, and as SuperCon is an IPMS event with the entries judged by judges rather than by popular vote, I take this as a validation of sorts that I seem to be doing at least some things right in this hobby.
I’d like to say that my motivation to enter these contests in the first place is largely due to the encouragement and CONSTRUCTIVE critiques by those on this forum and elsewhere, so I’d like to say “Thanks!” to those folks.
The observant among you might notice that the TIE Interceptor is actually upside down…I didn’t notice when I placed it on the stand, and I don’t know if anyone else did either. [:O]
