Tony, Iām interested to see just how large 1/24 scale is. Where in the world are you going to display that monster?
i see everyone is going for the quickest build award this time lol
nice progress everyone!
Still working and will post some WIP later. But Christmas break was just over today so back to school. By the way everyone is doing great[tup]
[8D] Wow - great work, guys! All of you.
Razor, your kit reminds me of the Nazi plane in āRaiders of the Lost Arkā
I expect i will requrie most of the 6 months for my build.
Maybe Iāll go paint something
That explains the sense of deja vu when I look at it! I knew Iād seen something similar before but just couldnāt place itā¦
Thanks IL! [tup]
I think I am going to give it back to the doner. His eyesight isnāt too good and gave it to me to build. It had the original receipt with it. $51.00 from Hobbytown in 1997.

Iāve been doing a little work on my Typhoon. First these parts that already was painted got into the paint remover bath.
Iāve also painted the interior parts.
Now Iāll just put it all together and repaint it [:)] Btw. what color do I use on the seat cushion?
Azgaron
Purple?
I think maybe leather.
Azgaron To my knowlege the seat cushions were red and the odd ones leather color. Hope this helps.
Cheers

Hi guys, just thought I would metion that twobobs are having a bit of a sale right now. About 40 decal sheets are about 70% off. I ordered a couple of sheets for my stash. There might be something there you like.
I am not associated with twobobs in any wayā¦other than as a customer.

I go away for work for a few days and look at all I have missed. Some of you guyās are moving quite fast. I have managed to open the box and wash all the parts down so I can get ready to prime some parts. I am finishing a build right now and hopefully get some work done on the Stormovik this weekend.
Good work guyās.
Steve
Mist, yes, that would have been nice [:)]
Thanks Andrew and Marc! Iāll see which I go for red or leather.
Azgaron
Well, since you all are so darn FAST, I figured Iād
better get some work done to keep up! [:o)]
I spent another hour looking at 3-view profiles for the B-58. It seems
to be a crap-shoot guessing which one is the most accurate. They all
differ greatly in the shape of the forward fuselage (nose & windscreen)
so ultimately I just took my best guess at which one is closest and Iāll
shoot for a close match (the same 3-view shown before). One thing
they all had in common: tail on this kit is hugely oversized, so off it went!
(Important safety note: cut first, drink budweiser after) [D)]
Iām painting the interior all black: i doubt that any detail will be visible
when itās assembled. There are some pilot figures that I will roughly
detail though, because they might be slightly visible through the windows.
I will be mounting the aircraft āin-flightā much like I did with the Mig31,
so I cut some balsa to fit snug in the fuselage and super-glued it in place.
This will give me something to drill into to anchor the support mast.
The good news is that the plastic seems to be very soft. The
sanding and re-profiling that I have planned might go considerably
faster than I thought. Weāll seeā¦
Cheers fellas.
good start Sir IL
Ya nice start.
Might need a little help with a colour question on my Stormovik. Does anyone have a good idea what the interior colour should be. For all interior callouts it only refers to grey-green. There are FS colours for the fuselage but the interior has no FS. I have never built a Russian plane before and I know the colours were a little odd. Any help would be appreciated. Cant do interior till I know.
Steve
Steve, I use MM RAF interior green for my russkie cockpits. Looks good to me.
i am not sure what color steve you may want to pop intothe aircraft forum and see if anyone knows
