If you do go that route and buy one directly from CMP be prepared. Along with the money they want to see “proof” you know how to shoot. For military or police their credentials work (which is laughable if you have seen a good portion of the police on the street shoot) or for regular civilians a concealed handgun permit is adequate. Check the website to be sure before you drive to Camp Perry… Because it is a long way from anywhere if you are going to come back empty handed.
Absolutely beautiful! The shade of the uniform is just right and the high- and low- lights are magnificent! I am not that much of a detailer, so I didn’t notice anything wrong with the rifle, but our buddies gave an excellent advise and I will remember that whenever I build a figure with an M1.
