This is the 1/4 resin bust from Jayco35 at The Clubhouse. It’s a hefty bit of resin too! It’s the best McQueen likeness I’ve come across and with a base like this you’d be mad to miss one! I (as usual) wanted to try something a bit different with the paint job, and try for an old sepia look. So I only used browns and some white for the whole kit. Not sure if it came out quite as I’d planned but it looks very effective on the shelf.
Interesting piece and good painting. I didn’t get the title 'til I saw the image. Maybe it’s the picture, but the flesh looks a bit too glossy. You did a really great job on the leaher jacket.
I’m having some trouble with my lighting. this is the second picture recently that’s come out overly glossy.
I was thinking of using tissue over the lamps, will that help?
It might. Using two or three directed lamps might, as well, or boncing the light off a piece of white cardboard might help as well.
Nice job of painting. Well done.

My favorite movie…what a great job!!! thanks for sharing.
I think he looks sweaty, like he’s been in the cooler. I would buy that if you told it to me. Looks nice.
That is great work on Steve McQueen. The Great Escape is definately one of the great all time movies with a truely star studded cast.
