The Bench of Doom

After 3 decades out of the scale modeling hobby…tying flies and fly fishing…I’m starting a modeling revival.

Here are all my old tools, to be sorted, and the bench to be reorganized.
Fly tying isnt abandoned, but it will share space going forward.

PS Some fly tying tools and materials have a place in scale modeling…take note.

Anything for working on small objects has a place. Even some large objects (like a hacksaw)!

Yep. I have a 3" section of fine hack saw blade set into a handle, used in fly tying! Score!
Thanks for the reply

Fly tying? How do you get the little buggers to stay still long enough to tie them up?

I heard from a “friend” that it’s all about the preparation. You first need a long strand of hair to tie a noose in. Then you must catch but not kill a fly. After that, you hold the fly by its wings, loop the noose over its head and pull tight. You can now let go over the wings. Voila! One tied fly. Or so I’m “told”.
