Iā€™ve seen this kit a couple of times. I canā€™t remember the original manufacturer of this kit but I saw it once and posted it in a ā€œWhatā€™s the weirdest kit in your stash?ā€ thread on another forum and it got a LOT of attention. Years later, Atlantis reached out to me after seeing my post and asked me if I had a kit of it so they could reproduce it. I didnā€™t have the kit but it looks like they found someone who did.
Your take on this model build is really good and have to say that the Stained Glass color you used on it set it off rather well.

Itā€™s been a long while since Iā€™ve talked to you @SprueOne. Howā€™ve you been doing dude?

@mustang1989 Yeah itā€™s been a minute. Weā€™re good. Thank you for asking and commenting on my model. I havenā€™t been able to login here for several years so have been on the KitmakerNet.

Then FSM sent me an email invite to their Open House party so I dropped by for registration

I didnā€™t know that Atlantis had to reproduce the tooling for a new kit. Very interesting. I assumed they had acquired the original tooling.

:video_camera: There is a short video with audio from the Adolescents of an open box review :tv:

Wasnā€™t it the Ideal Toy Company (ITC)? They did a bunch of educational kits. I think Lindberg reissued a bunch of their old kits in the 70s.

I think it was now that you mention it Rob.

Very Cool. First time I have heard of Krylon Stained Glass paint. Always learn something new here. Thanks for sharing.

Iā€™ll be looking forward to seeing your build on that one Gene.

It may be a while. I was thinking it would be a cool display base for my Proteus kit. But weā€™ll see when it gets here.

Looking forward to it either way. PM me when you get to it because Iā€™d like to see this one getting built up Gene.

Yeah, no prob!

The Navy base that my father was last stationed (many years ago) had an actual dedicated hobby shop with art supplies and kits.

Great idea. Like @mustang1989 said. Iā€™d like to see this build as well.

I seem to remember there was a ā€˜Hobby Shopā€™ like place at Edwards. Seemed to be nothing but scale models of all kinds, including RC stuff, supplies and painting supplies. But itā€™s been a couple of years.

Probably be a quick WIP!!

Iā€™ve always wondered what that kit would look like once it was built up and I have to say that your build looks very cool. Thanks for sharing.
