Testror compressor

hey guys just checkin out some air compressors for my airbrush and i was wonderin if anyone out there knows anything about that testors mini compressor “blue ice” or something like that, and costs around 80 bucks. I was just wonderin if anyone out there had some feedback on it,
thanks

Somebody just posted a review of this compressor within the last week. Do a quick search on this board for “Blue Ice” or “Testors Compressor” and I’m sure you’ll find it.

From what I’ve read, it sounds like a good deal. It’s a basic, inexpensive compressor and definitely a step up from the air cans I’m using now. A fellow I correspond with bought one last year and recommended it to me.

I’m saving up for one myself.

Sorry pest18, I got one just a little while ago…but I haven’t had the chance to use it yet. I can tell you that it came highly recommended by my LHS guy.(he’s always been straight with me.) When I get it out and use it I’ll let you know.
I need to find an inexpensive spray booth first…any body know where?

Well I posted a link to a review…

Which can be seen here:

Hope this helps.

Guys, whatever you do remember this: every time you buy from a dedicated hobby company you’ll be overcharged because that’s the way it is in the industry. For compressors always check a hardware store or an automotive supply store first!

I do realize Testors advertisements are slick but…

I have one that I got on sale for pretty cheap at Hobby Lobby. It works fine, not too loud. It does tend to get hot, but at the same time, I rarely use it for more than 20 minutes at a time. It pulses also, but the hose takes some of that out. Basically if not for the sale, I’d have saved and gotten a reservoir compressor, but it’s tons better than air cans. If you get a good deal, it’s worth it, otherwise, save another 40 bucks and get a real compressor.

The cheapest I’ve seen it advertised over the web is around $75 (U.S.). That seems to be a pretty good price.

That price doesn’t include shipping.
