While reading Paul Boyer’s review of Hobbyboss’s TA-7C, he says he uses “Testors Model Master light gull gray.” Is this color out of production on Testors Model Master line?? While looking to purchase it I could only find diffent ghost and gull grays, but not light gull gray. And is Testors Model Master light gull gray different from Testors light gull gray (in the 1/4 once bottle)???
thanks in advance
xavier
I haven’t seen that color by that name by Testor’s either.
I (many years ago) used to use a Light Gull Grey made by Polly S…Boyer may have meant that…but then, I can’t find that Polly S anywhere now.
I’ll keep checking here to see how you fare

Light Gull Gray is actually FS 16440/36440. Testors lists it as Gloss Gull Gray 16440 or Flat Gull Gray 36440.

I used Testors Gull Gray on a 1/32 model some time back and I wished I had lightened it considerably with white before applying. Especially on the smaller scales I would think the Testors Gull Gray would be too dark out of the bottle.

I appreciate this. Thank you!
Kind of an old thread. I like MM Gull Gray. I’ve never compared it to the real thing, whatever that is on a deck in the sun, but I like how it looks.
Didn’t you and I participate in the end of the world?
