I am using Testors Chrome color spray can. I have found that the spray comes out blotchy and leaves small pinhead size bumps on the surface. Is this common or did I just get a bad can or nozzle on the can. I took all the precautionary steps, including heating the can, cleaning the surface, etc. I never encountered this before with other testors spray can colors. Is it just the chrome is a much thicker paint that goes on heavier.
My guess is that you just ended up with a bad nozzle on the spray can. I like using the spray cans for quick jobs like landing gear and such. I’d try a couple of different things. First, I’d try soaking the nozzle in a little jar of thinner and giving it a good shake just to make sure any and all gunk is removed. If that didn’t do the trick (it usually does in my experience) then try gently pushing a sewing needle into the opening. Sometimes an opening that isn’t “just right” can give you some problems. If neither of these tricks work then you might have to chalk it up to having a bad can and you might want to get another one. Hope it all works out.
