ok folks. while i am waiting for the dash plate i have done some things. i have added most of the parts off the sprues and have dry brushed it. i want this to be well worn so…well…i went a little overboard. all that is left are the decals and some small parts on the front fenders.

thanks again for letting me share this.
joe
lol, that hood is quite worn. Guess the guys had a fetish with driving through trees or something [:D]
Very nice build!
Looking good! I’m sure you’ll find that the ‘water’ on the darkside is filled with quicksand that keeps you here! Moooo wa Ha Ha! (evil laugh)… rub hands together… pat Igor on the head.
Ron
That is nice my friend.
A pretty little gem to add to your colection. [:)][tup]
Fighting Joe, It looks wonderful and I mean this to be harmless but you should scold the jeep driver for following too closely the corsairs taxiing down the coral air strips…[:D] To be very honest it is VERY convincing paint peeling. How did you go about it…
Peace…
Heck, it looks like my old Jeep CJ-5 after a couple of days on the shipyard parking lot. The seagulls love their bombing practice and enjoy eating on top of new paint.
That looks great Joe. Coming along nicely.
Keep well.
Going along quite nicely Joe. Don’t worry, you’ll be straping on some tracks before to long!
Fightnjoe…near finished…what are you talking about! You haven’t attached the wings or canopy yet!!!
Bob
(still wandering aimlessly between dark and light!)
Hey, Joe. That’s one good-lookin’ Willy’s. Looks finely weathered to me. Great job. Cmon and finish it.
BTW, it will look realy really wonderful beside a Sherman. He-he-he.
Looking great Joe … not too bad for a wingy thingy builder[;)][;)]
thank you all for your kind words.
ken all i did was drybrushing. i used tamiya alum. and used it liberally. wasnt sure if i had overdone it.
bob i thought about the canopy and wings. i just didnt know where to put them. they wernt in the kit and i wasnt sure of the style. the prop though…
dwight you wont believe how much i want to finish this kit. still waiting to hear about the dash plate. and yes it will look good next to a sherman, a sherman dio. hint hint.
again thankyou for the kind words.
joe
WOW! Love that weathering. The darkside is well into your blood stream now!
Cool job! Now you gotta add a bit of mud or dirt from the driver and passenger’s boots! Not to mention what was kicked up by the wheels. I love the paint chips though, it motivates me to try it someday on one of mine. Keep up the great work!
thankyou dean and duke. i plan on mud and such just havent got to it yet.
again thanks for the kind words.
