Anybody ever build up the Cyberhobby Tauchpanzer yet? I was thinking of trying and throwing is into a hypothetical diorama depicting operation Sealion…maybe the tank driving out of some water. It’d be an aggressive 1st dio, but dang that would look cool!
If cyberhobby is a manufacturer of dragon kits, only revamped, then my experience might be relevant. I built a Tauchpanzer III from dragon, and it was pretty good-standard dragon…so the cyberhobby should be much better.
The C-H Tauch is based on the IV-D “Super Kit” and as such uses the newer technology for molding and has quite a bit of PE included. THe Tauch III by DML is one of their older kits from the Imperial series. I have both in the stash. Look forward to seeing what you do with the Tauch IV, the dio sounds like it would be a bold entry into the world of dioramas for sure!
The tauchpanzers destined for Op Sealion had the air and radio bouy. Reference the new Trojca book on the Panzer III for some great reference photos of the bouy. The kits I’ve seen that are specific to the tauchpanzer all use the pipe snorkel that replaced the bouy.
