Just got back from a long weekend in Virginia doing some hiking and such. Dropped by the AAF Tank Museum in Danville down near the NC border. Wow! This place is a must for armor buffs. The website is aaftankmuseum.com. I’m really much more of an aircraft guy than an armor guy, but I still had a blast! Has what I think might be the only PzIV on public display in North America. Also more memorabilia (uniforms, weapons, badges, toys, paper items etc) than you can count. If you are a race fan too (like me) it’s also near VIR.
Happy modelling.
Well, since no one has relplied to this post, I guess I will, wouldnt you to think your unaccepted! BTW[#welcome]to the FSM forum!!! Thanks for posting this, I really wish I could go to a tank museum…
I’ll have to look into that. I live outside of Raleigh, NC, so I think that’s within day-trip distance for me. Of course, not sure how excited my wife and 2-year old daughter are going to be, but hopefully we’ll find something to amuse them. Thanks for the recommendation.
Tanks for the info.
Always looking for someplace to view more Armor.
Are you sure about that Web Address?
I’m about to try it now.
