Tamiya's Kommandeurwagen steyr type 1500a *finished*

Those sun-visors are a nice touch–scratched?

Ron - Outstanding. I love the subtle shading. The top looks great. The details are super. Glad to see you come back with these great shots. Overall wethering is subdued but striking.

Now…have two more twinkies for me!!

Rounds Complete!!

Excellent Biffa! I really envy your ability to get the project done! Most excellent finish as always! I wish my extended absences coould be followed with such eye popping results! [tup]

Gotta admit, Ron–I never had an eye for this little pug of a vehicle, but you did it up just as nice and realistically as I could imagine anyone doing it!

It’s really just a perfect finish on it—the visors are indeed a great touch!

Thanks guys its nice to be back and have an hour spare to browse the forums i am glad you liked the build, the sunvisors where off the eduard set but the kit does supply some in plastic but they looked a tad thick to me. [:)]

First off, glad to see you’re back. Second, yet another beauty, great finish and weathering. Is that the factory I hear warming up? Great build.

Glad you were able to get back to this one Ron and post some pics up of the finish. It’s a real stunner! The subtle variations in the plain dunkelgelb finish are top notch and lots of little details very well done on the interior as well. [tup] [tup]

Oh, wow–that is too cool…reminds me of the days when I was Army Group South Commander: me and my staff used to cruise in a car just like this in Kharkov looking for Russian chicks…

LOL!! Good one Manny!! [(-D]

Ron, another beautiful build! Understated, yet eyecatching. [tup][tup] I luv the clean lines of this vehicle, but I have one question. What are the devices on both doors, the things that are in the spot of side view mirrors? I think the AFV Club Sd. Kfz. 251 that I’m building has something like those.

What a jewel!

First rate everywhere and all over…

What a beautiful effect on that canvas top, not to mention that stock on the rifle.

Ernest,

Those are turn indicators…they have little “flags” that flip out to the side when activated by the driver. Think the equivalent of hand signals out the window! [(-D]

Nice one Ron. I think it’s an efffective look in the base color only. I like that the chipping is more subdued on this guy, which seems appropriate.

Glad to see you’re up-and-about and the factory is rolling again. [tup]

Well what do you know…that’s new to me! Thanks for the info Bill!

Ron nice to have you back, and boy what a come back, I love the paint and weathering on that.

Some good’'ole german beer will help you gain that weight back!! I too wish you a swift recovery and good health.
