Tamiya Surface Primer

Hello,

I have noticed that Tamiya has a Fine Surface Primer and a Surface Primer. What is the difference in the two?

Thanks,

George

The grit size of the pigments.

Er, which one is fine? The white or the grey.?

Thanks Hawkeyehobbies. So I guess if you are wanting to hide more you would use the regular surface primer and not the fine. Is this correct and why they have the two grits?

George

I can’t seem to find any diffirence between the Tamiya Grey and White primer. I find Tamiya primer too gritty for my use. It doesnt give me a good surface if I finish my model with gloss paint. I’m happy with “Mr.Surfacer 1200” now for its fine surface.

I thinkGeorge is referring to the spray primers.

JunJon, if you’re talking about the grey and white “Liquid surface primers” in the 40ml jars, there is no difference apart from the colour.

Yes it is the spray primers gray light and regular gray primer. I was not sure of the difference.
