Hi guys,
I’m normally a airplane guy but I decide to build my 1st tank as I also plan to build a simple dio with some figures from Master Box after that. Well I finished it last week and would like to show you guys some pictures. Hope you like them.
Nice job on that, i like the weathering lowdown. The only suggestion i would make is for some light dusting higher up.The top is to clean compared to the bottom.
Good advice there from Bish, even muddy bootprints where the crew climbed on and off the vehicle would look good.
Still overall very sharp work esp. for your first tank. I think I’ve said before, I’d be ashamed to let anyone see my first couple…

Very nicely done. I’m working my first armor after a number of planes and didn’t realize the different mind set required. Don’t know if I’ll be able to show mine,having a hell of a time.
It is indeed a very differant approach. That why i like flitting between the two, helps keep it fresh.

Excellent first tank! I agree just needs a bit of red dust or mud up top. I’m only on my second tank myself. Are those aftermarket antennas or from the Kit? nice work! Rudy

Those are just the Cat 5 telephone wire I used for the antennas. The kit does not come with any.

Not too shabby at all! I think you did a good job in all categories. Nothing seems out of place.
I like how all of your figures look as if they are currently standing in the rain. The all dark fatigues with a slight shine to them. Nice effect whether intended or not and something to keep in your bag of tricks for the future

If this is you very first, then you must build more! You’ve got a bit of talent there.
Which would also explain why there’s no dust up top on the paint job.
I know from experimenting on junkers that getting a washed down/splattered up finish to work right is not a simple task. You have to build up the dirt and grime in levels and also take it off realistically, all while coping with how mud is muddier in the rain.
Pretty cool! Kudos for having the guts to try figures, I know a bunch of old hands in our club that have built for years and still won’t touch figure painting. [Y]

I never intended the dio to be under the rain but if it looks good that way why not [;)] .
I love to work on figures and I think that would be my future direction in the hobby when I run out of room for planes & tanks, then I will start working more on building & painting individual figures…Now I’m practicing on some cheapo figures that bundle with the kit.
