Tamiya MP4/13 plus top studio upgrades finished.

Done as part of the automotive 2015 group build. A nice kit but the engine bay was a bit sparse so the upgrade set and some other bits and bobs were added. Everything that could be was carbon fibre decaled and it was sprayed with Zero paints colour matched set and their 2K clear. I did use some aftermarket “West” decals but they were not that good and i had to print a couple of my own.

there are more pics on my flickr if you feel the need.

Thanks to the guys in the group build for their encouragement, some of the stuff they are doing is amazing!

Misty - absolutely stunning! Amazing build!!! Tim

Very nice. Love it!

Loos fantastic, I was looking into 2K clear myself, doing some 1/12 Tamiya F1 kits. I was wondering how hard was it to clean up your airbrush afterwards?

clean it immediately with cellulose thinners ( i use their own thinners, they do two types : base coat thinners for thinning paint and clears, and cellulose thinners for clean-up), . if you let it dry its awful to remove. whatever you do dont let it dry in the airbrush!!

I know I am late to the party, but had to say, wow, she is gorgeous. I did a Top Studio search since I bought some of their upgrades for my Tamiya motorcycle kits, and wanted to see what others think of their products. I am returning to model making after a 30 year break between kits. Everything has changed, so I am basically a beginner again. I have high hopes for my future builds, but struggle with supplies and money as I reside in the Philippines. Anyway, I ordered the sets on spotmodel.com, a must website for anyone doing automotive kits. I am mostly military model maker, but I have not built a single kit yet, so I am more of an observer than anything else, just amazed at how the hobby has truly become an artform. You my friend, are an artist! Cheers, Anthony
