Tamiya figures for dio?

Hi all.

I would like some imput from you guys about the Tamiya 1/35 “British 6 pounder Gun with 3 crew”

I am usualy a plane builder, but would like to try something a little different. Has someone built this kit, how is the “buildablilty” of the kit for a newby in the fiqure arena? I have seen Tamiya’s quality on the planes and am happy with that.

Any comments or ideas?

Thanx

The figures are decent yet will benefit if you replace the heads with sculpts done in resin.

I built this kit way, way back when it was new. Tamiya is good stuff. At one time, they were the leader of the industry.

This kit’s been around for over 35 years. The figures were state of the art in 1975 but so was the Ford Granada. IIRC, several of he figures are shirtless, so replacing the heads will take some finesse, unlike drilling a hole in the neck of a uniform.

As to the kit, it’s the only one of that vehicle. Given what Tamiya was producing at the time, it may not have a lot of accuracy, but shouldn’t be too diffucult a build. Just don’t expect the quality you’re used to in recent Tamiya aircraft kits.

Interesting comments guys, thanx!

I will give it a go and see how it comes out.
