im just wondering if any one can tell me where i might be able to buy a set of modelkasetn tracks for the tamiya 8 ton half track. i have the kit but the tracks are dmagaed and not able to be used

The set that MK puts out for these are the non-workable type as an FYI.

Umm T26E4 Listed the places you can buy them… look up at his post, greatmodels etc…
See Roy’s post above, it’s got several common online sites that carry them. The MK set you’re looking for is K-31, for the Sdkfz 10 Demag D7. They include white metal replacement sprockets and if assembled with care, can actually be left workable, so my earlier comment isn’t entirely correct.
Hey Bill: The set you’re suggesting isn’t compatable with the Tamiya SdKfz 7. Modelkasten’s set for this is MAK20: http://www.greatmodels.com/~smartcart/cgi/display.cgi?item_num=MAK20
The Sdkfz 7 and the Sdkfz 10 were completely different classes. The Sdkfz 10 shared the same chassis as the Sdkfz 250 light halftrack.

You might want to consider Fruilmodel, they are a bit easier than MK, here they are on the Tamiya SdKfz. 7…they come with the metal replacement sprocket and rework instructions to correct the Tamiya suspension footprint…I’m not sure what the set # is for the 8 ton…
