It is my first project (besides Spitfire what I am fixing in the meantime ) so please be honest with me. I am still learning (watching Swanny’s DVD over and over …
It is a plane flow by Cpt Eugeniusz Horbaczewski in 1944 as a 315 Squadron Leader. Thanks to Antoni for a guidance with markings and a good advise to not go with Tamiya markings
What I can see of the interior looks great. The camo itself is very nicely done. The striping is top notch. And the weathering I see along the wing root is great.
Only complaint I have is you didn’t post more pics! [swg]
I did a bit too much in the cockpit (too much dry brush with white) but its too late now - I was learning dry brushing :). The root paint chips are made with salt - a bit PIA process due to the camo painting and those white stripes but I think it came out pretty nice - I sitill have to do a bit more on a white stripe and leading edge near the gear - it was the place where pilot step a lot. The mechanics were using a rubber matt while working on the plane so only scratches were on the fuselage near a wing root.
It was really very painful process - at least for me - a first time using salt - first time using airbrush, first time … a lot of things. I am going to post a progress on my Spitfire Mk Ia transition to Mk IIb - its pretty chalanging since it was my first model painted with spray can… brrrr.
