Hello everyone,

Here is my P-47 that I made for the NMFII group build. I tried to spruce it up a bit making the seatbelts with tape, adding wires for the engine and cockpit. I used Alclad II Polished aluminum(although I ended up spraying it flat!) and Lifecolour decals.

Beautiful! Love it! This kit’s on my list once I work through my current stash (SBD, two Wildcats, a Hellcat and a Mustang D, oh my!).

The Jug is probably my favorite WWII-era plane, so I’m trying to get some more kits under my belt before I take one on…but I’ll certainly be using this as inspiration!

Did you paint that instrument panel or is that AM?

It is a beaut!!! I built the 1/32 Hasegawa of this subject and loved it. As mentioned above, this is also one of my favorite aircraft!!!

Satch, I used the decal, took time in its placement so all of the printed dials were lined up with the bezels and soaked with with Micro Sol. It turned out better than many of the AM sets I have seen, and at no cost!

Any chance you can paint that area behind the pilot armor plate O.D.? Other than that it looks really good.

Wow! Outstanding built. I would lkie to know how you detailed the cockpit specially the instrument panel. Is this the kit panel? And I thought my P-47 was already good!

Thanks, Constructor! I used the kit panel and the kit panel decal with lots of microsol, then placed some Future over the markings to represent glass.

Lefty- I didn’t know! Just followed the painting instructions! Canopy is on to stay- took me awhile to glue it in place!

Working on one of these for an 87 year old WWII P-47 pilot. If it turns out 1/2 as good as yours, I will be extremely happy. Especially love the motor work and cockpit. Great job. Keep up the great work.
