Tamiya 1/48 M1025

So this is my latest completion, Tamiya’s 1/48 HMMWV M1025 armament carrier. I built it OOB and added a .010" music wire antenna. Paints are AK Real Colors and weathering is AK pigments. A really great kit for recharging your modeling mojo batteries

Thanks for looking… comments and critiques are welcome

Looks very good! I really like the camouflage.

Thank you sir! Ya gotta love a quick project like this that practically falls together on its own.

Nice build, Stik! I like your camo pattern, too. Airbrushed freehand, I take it?

Thanks guys for your kind feedback!

@the_Baron, yup I airbrushed on the pattern freehand. I just do the base pattern colors, then go back and touch up any overspray areas as needed. I rarely use masks for camo except for the occasional hard edge pattern.

@Butz, yes indeed a good quick build like this has a follow on motivational effect

Carlos, the camo job:star_struck::star_struck::ok_hand:. The faded affect on the paint look extremely realistic. Awesome job

Thank you CB. The fading is primarily the AK paint. They are lighter and appear more faded compared to everybody else’s take on those colors.

Yeah that camo job came out pretty badass! Nice job.

Thank you Demo! It was a bit time consuming to do the camo, but well worth the end results

Thank you Waikong! Trying to paint 1/48 BDUs is not easy.

Looks fantastic! You did a great job painting that camo scheme.

Thank you Tom for looking in and your kind comment!
