good day. this kit has been looking back at me for the better part of a year at my LHS. so i bought it today. all the reviews say its a good kit. just the wings seem to be a standout problem, but I guess that means the modeler has to do his/her part to make sure all surfaces are equal and even.
i’m looking at either a whole cockpit, or just the ejection seat. i see the quickboost option on spruebrothers and it looks pretty good. how similar is this kit to the Hasegawa offering of the F-15C? would the Aires cockpit be reasonably adaptable to this Tamiya kit? thanks for looking,

That kit builds exceptionally well right out of the box without adding any aftermarket goodies.
well based on some quick research between my first post and this, i have discovered that the tamiya and the hasegawa kit are a world apart. so I will save my money for some other model goodies and just build this OOB. thanks for the quick reply

The markings for the kit are pretty good and the Maloney’s Pony markings are from a bird in my fathers former squadron (he is retired from the Air Force formerly a member of the 71st FS). I got that particualar kit and the Hasegawa kit for him for christmas a couple years back and the moment he opened the tamiya kit his eyes lit up and he said he remembered that plane from his time in the 71st. My father wasn’t a pilot he was a Aircraft Mechanic with the 71st AGS which was part of the 71st FS.
