I have not built one of those, but go check out www.modelwarships.com. It is a fantastic model ship site and there are photos of several completed battleships. There are also some great phots of nearly every other brand of model ship.
God Bless

As a rule you CAN’T go wrong with a Tamiya 1/350 ship kit. I’ve heard nothing bad about this kit. But you could get it cheaper online (including shipping), but not too much. But, you would have to wait. As any modern day kit get yourself a good P/E (Tom’s, GMM, WEM) set and you ready to “rock-n-roll”.
Go for it! It’s a great kit and it won’t give you any trouble whatsoever. As Tim suggested though, make sure you get a PE set (I used Gold Medal Models’ set). You’ll be very happy with the results.
thanks for the feedback. i am going to pick up this kit [:D].
i have not used a PE set before SO… is there one particular PE dealer’s set that is better than the others [?] or are they all about the same, will i need more than one set for a kit this size ?
sorry for all the questions i am just starting back into modeling after a 20 year break [:I]
The only one I know of is the Gold Metal:

Gold Metal is well-established, and makes nice stuff. However, if I recall correctly White Ensign is coming out with one too. I love White Ensign’s stuff. You might want to check with them on availability of the Bismarck set.
Or you could just build the Mighty Mo, which would have made quick work of the Bismarck! [:)]
