Tamiya 1/35 Leopard 2A6 WIP

Here is a few shots of my Leopard that I started a few nights ago. Its o.o.b aside from making the glass from crystal clear, and its just about ready for paint and then I can add the rest of the small bits, skirts and tools. This kit went together better than any kit I have built so far. The fit is perfect. In fact the kit is so good and I have had such a good time building it I am ordering another from the LHS tomorrow which I plan to put some aftermarket work into the next one along with Canadian markings =).

I was thinking I might give this paint job a try on this one. The Dutch did this for Euro 2008 =)

The model looks good so far. Just don’t ante up with it. [(-D]

Other then that that Dutch paint scheme is just plan wrong on an armor vehicle. [sigh]

Anyway great job so far…

Model On.

Scott

Thanks! And yeah the Orange is definatly not going on my Leopard LOL.

translates as “Proud of our Boys”…
wonder what the FS ref on the paint is…[8D]

Considering those pics of the pink T-34 (in london?) that float up every once in a while, this is much superior. And, hunters in America won’t confuse it with a deer and shoot it!

The image “http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/6/6d/A_Dutch_Leopard_2_painted_orange.jpg/800px-A_Dutch_Leopard_2_painted_orange.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.Meanwhile the enemy is pointing and laughing … an airstrike is called in…

I would wager that that orange paint scheme was done for their “football”, ie, “soccer” team?

“Proud of our boys” would probably refer to some World Cup victory or something like that?

I dated a girl from Holland for two years and orange was a big part of her world…go figure?

Im building the A5 and that is a nice kit though the turrets a drag.
