Painted with Vallejo IDF Gray primer ansld weathered with AMMO Oilbrushers for dot filtering and a custom desert pigment mix, with the stowage washed with Citadel Nuln Oil…

I’ve never built a tank but my first one, an 1/48 easy 8, just arrived today. I will have to learn all about weathering and I’ll be using yours as inspiration for sure.

Did all that Stowage come with the Takom kit? I’m building the HVSS version right now and it didn’t really come with any extra’s, but it’s been a pretty nice kit so far. Hopefully I can get it to look as good as yours!

One thing I would advise – recent Sherman models by Takom, RFM, etc allow the builder to display the front two fixed periscopes open. They were useless to the crews in reality. In tens of thousands of pics of operational Shermans, I’ve maybe seen two with the periscope installed in those slots. Something to consider for future Sherman builds – or possible to tweak on your nice M1. Hope this makes sense.

This turned out amazing - I love the bag over the 50 cal. Such a great addition to the kit and you made it look really nice.
