I was looking over the instructions for the Pershing and they call for the fuel tanks inside the engine compartment to be red? I cannot find reference photos to support or deny this. Also does anyone have an idea what would be comparable to “olive brown” in Vallejo? Thanks
interesting. the entire engine compartment on M60, M60A1, A2, A3 tanks was white. from personal experience, don’t obsess too much about a shade. polyscale us army od is slightly different from MMA, … there is also weathering, climate, and real time lighting and looking at photographs on different monitors… obviously you don’t want a red brown or panzer brown but i have wasted time and shelved partially built kits during my obsessive paint phase. at Nationals in 2011 there were 6 u-boats side by side. everyone was a slightly different gray.
Well they show the interior white, However one fuel tank is red. Here’s a picture.
Hobby Boss is wrong. Fuel tanks in US tanks were white.

Make sure you backfill the “batwing” armor off the turret. In reality, those were armor slabs. Here’s some discussion about some tweaks for the kit if you want to make more corrections
Mine doesn’t have the “batwing” armor. I have the Pershing Late Production not the Super. Will those fixes apply to mine as well or only the Super? Also the images on that site are broken. However they will be good for my next build. As I had 12 hours uninterrupted yesterday (wife is stationed in Korea while I’m back in the states) I built most of the main components. Oh, that kit. Sorry. That later production T26E4 was built on a different base tank than Pilot #2 which became the “Super Pershing”. I’ll have to look that one up in my Hunnicutt book
