T-95

In the Battle Field 1942 Secret weapons of WWII, there is a US super heavy tank, a T-95. is this real? and if it is, is there a model of it?

hm, tankergeoff, the T-95 in the game was shaped more like an Obiekt(sp?) exept more elongated.

oh the real name is “T95/ T28 Super Heany tank with AA gun” according to my manual of game

Yes, it is real, there is one about ½ mile away from me in front of the Patton Museum. It is more of an assault gun than a true tank. There is no turret and four sets of tracks. The outer set of tracks could be removed and towed behind it like a trailer for movement on narrow roadways.

I am not sure if there is a kit. The vehicle never went into production and I think only two were made. It was originally caller the T28 heavy tank and later the T95 105mm gun motor carriage.

like a tank destroyer? i saw another sight that called it a T-28 as well but wasn’t sure if that was what you where talking about… although on the website, it’s called a 28 on the link it had 95 in parentheses

patton… rob, if it was in the museum part i may have a pic. i saw so many, i don’t remember.

T-28. In front of the Patton museum. Saw it when I was stationed atFt. Knox in 87’.
It was quite a sight with its four sets of tracks!! Aaahh, memories.

yes that’s the one!!!

I would be really sweet to have a model of it in 1/35.
and cool site too

Accurate Armor makes a resin kit. Perhaps someone needs one of your kidneys? You could always sell a leg, it’d be too hard to build with one arm.

rob, if i am standing facing the front of the museum, is it the piece to my immediate left that i initially thought was german? lol.

dang! how many dollars is a pound!!! I’m not even worth that much! ummm… wait, I didn’t say that

thanks anyway!

Yes, looks like a giant jagdpanzer or soviet assualt gun.

when my batteries died on my digital camera, i used up a backup disposable camera… i got some shots of it with that… when they’re developed, i’ll check it out closer…

Yep, its just outside the entrance. I took a few shots of it last summer when I was at Knox. What a BEAST!!!

I’ll see if I can find em and scan em in for you guys.

Found my pic of it.

jinithith- not totally sure bout it, but i think a pound is somewheer around 2-3 bucks, so its probably the most expensive kit ive ever seen.

that thing is a BEAST! assault gun? that thing looks more like an vamped up version of a battering ram. what size gun is that thing toting?

Anybody have a look at the back of this vehicle ? I"m looking at a fuzzy overhead view of it and the back deck is open (maybe over the engine compartmen) and has what appear to be 2 rows of cylinders with 5 cylinders in each row, can’t figure out what they are maybe compressed air cylinders?

gringe88- in Robs post he states that it is a 105mm GMC.
